What are the athletes saying?
Megan H."I was probably as clueless as they come when I entered the triathlon world and Ryan changed that. He offers more than just tailored workouts. He shares his triathlon/running brain with you as much as he can, all so that you can continue to grow as an athlete. He cares about his athletes more than I've ever seen. He's constantly answering my phone calls and texts late into the evening and even at the crack of dawn. And when race day comes, he might even get more excited than you do. He loves nothing more than to watch an athlete succeed in a sport that they are passionate about, and he's willing to do as much as he can to make sure that it happens. He understands more than anyone that life happens and he's always willing to work with your schedule. And of course, his experience and success in the sport is nothing short of amazing and inspiring. If you want to be the best, you gotta work with the best!"

Brittany A."When I set my goal of completing my first Ironman there was only one coach I trusted to get me to my goal and beyond – Ryan. Although I was very intimidated by my own goal, Ryan taught me to take it one workout at a time and give it my best effort. The workouts were not only personalized but also inspiring and I could feel myself getting better each day. It was exciting to see myself evolve as a triathlete through the training process. Ryan delivered a well-rounded program that challenged my body and mind which prepared me for race day. Ryan’s patience was incredible – he answered all my questions and concerns about the Ironman and racing in general. It was a really awesome feeling to cross that finish line and I could not have made it without his brilliant training plan and persistent support." |
John A."When I was 15 years old I made a goal for myself to compete in an Ironman by age 25. When I was 25, I competed in the 2010 Ironman Wisconsin. Ryan not only wrote my training program, but he went up to Madison, Wisconsin every weekend for 7 weeks to train on the course with me. Race day was the first day I could consider myself an Ironman! Since then, I raced the 2012 Ironman Kentucky with a 3:22 marathon split which was 22 mins faster than my Madison Ironman marathon split all due to Ryan’s training. In 2014 I raced in Lake Placid and again in Madison for the sole purpose to propose to my now wife after the swim. Due to his nutrition intake coaching I was able to then finish the race in a full tuxedo in the 80 degree heat with no major dehydration setbacks. Finally, this last September I raced in my 5th Ironman triathlon next to my Wife, who was competing in her first Ironman Triathlon. Coach Ryan wrote her a plan, he checked in on her often, and he gave her tips. When she had questions, he answered them right away. My wife ended up running 1 hr 10 minutes faster than her 2014 Chicago Marathon! Not only was he supportive of her; he was one of her biggest fans along with me. If his own individual accomplishments aren’t enough for you, understand that some day I will race in Kona, HI. I have the coach that for the last three years has been doing reconnaissance for me ;)"

RJ P."Let me start out by saying, I personally started training for triathlons, and eventually, my FIRST IRONMAN WITH 3 TORN ACL'S (2 in my right knee, 1 in my left knee). Completing a small sprint triathlon was do-able in my head. However, starting and finishing an Ironman race was ONLY a dream prior to my training. Sure, I ran and biked a little when I was younger. And yes, I knew how to "swim" enough to get from point A to B. BUT truthfully, Ryan, as a coach and guide, helped shape me and my body into a machine. So much that I was able to finish the grueling 140.6 race miles in 1.5 hours quicker than I thought I could finish. It is true, come race day, it is all about nutrition and mind, but you won't get far without the right body, more specifically the training. Ryan tweaked the training regiment to accommodate for my 2 jobs, my triathlons, and more importantly, my knees! He will explain the importance of your nutrition and hydration.
He will be able to train you properly with your swimming form, distance running, and pacing on the bike. And, before you realize it, race day will be right around the corner...Take it from me, I had NO race experience. I have Ryan to thank for my new found love and addiction, TRIATHLONS!!!" |
